Every campaign gives you data. When you review it carefully, that data helps you plan a better next campaign. This tutorial shows simple steps to do that in Corda.
The main idea is to ask whether the campaign addressed the authority gap it was built for. Counting completed placements does not answer that question.
Before you start: you need at least one launched campaign, along with the Baseline and the Authority Gap it was built from.
Why This Matters
Corda keeps your results connected to your original assessment. It can reuse your Baseline when it evaluates progress, and the Live Authority Graph and campaign reporting link later results back to the first findings.
As a result, you can follow one clear path: Baseline → Gap → Campaign → Result → Reassessment
Step 1: Remember What The Campaign Was Meant To Do
Start with the original Campaign Objective, Target Page, and Authority Gap. Then decide what a good result would look like before you view any numbers.
This keeps your review fair because you judge the campaign against its purpose, not whichever numbers look best.
Step 2: Review What Corda Tracked
Next, look at the results in Corda. Depending on the campaign, this can include live placements, campaign status, ranking changes, authority signals, publisher performance, budget use, and visibility trends across search engines and supported AI platforms.
It’s better to check these one at a time. That way, one strong number does not hide a weaker one.
Step 3: Compare The Results With Your Baseline
Then compare the current position with your Baseline. Begin with the Target Page, because the campaign was built to support it.
After that, look at the related signals together. Several signals pointing the same way give you stronger evidence than a single number.
Step 4: Read The Results Carefully
At this stage, keep three points in mind:
- A change after a placement did not necessarily come from it.
Rankings and visibility can shift for other reasons. So treat two things as connected only when the evidence supports it.
- Some results take time.
Reviewing too early can make a campaign look unsuccessful, so compare at multiple points in time if you can.
- Other changes count too.
If you also improved the page or added content, note it, because it may have affected the results.
Step 5: Decide Whether The Gap Was Addressed
Now compare the gap’s current status with its original one. Corda uses Gap, Watch, and Strong to describe findings, and they work well as a guide here.
| Result | What To Do Next |
| The gap is addressed | Move to your next priority, and keep monitoring |
| The gap is partly addressed | Continue with a follow-up campaign |
| The gap is not addressed | Find out why before spending more |
If the gap was not addressed, avoid repeating the same campaign. Instead, check whether the page needed work, whether the publishers were a weaker fit, or whether you misjudged the gap.
Step 6: Review Your Publishers
After that, look at how the publishers performed for the purpose they were chosen for. Focus on Publisher Fit, which means relevance to the page, topic, audience, and goal. Metrics alone do not show fit.
Keep the publishers and categories that worked well for future campaigns, and set aside the ones that did not. You stay in control of this list, so you can replace or exclude publishers at any time.
Step 7: Check Your Competitors Again
Competitors change over time, so confirm that your competitor set still fits your next objective.
Then look for anything new, such as fresh coverage or content. Keep only the findings that connect to your goal.
Step 8: Plan Your Next Campaign
Finally, use what you learned to define the next campaign. Ask the same five questions Corda uses to prioritize gaps:
- Does it connect to the Authority Goal?
- How large is the competitive difference?
- Does it affect later actions?
- Is there evidence across multiple signals?
- Can you take a clear action?
Then choose the next action and give the campaign its own job, so that it does not overlap with one that is still running. After that, build it in Campaign Builder.
The campaign starts with the context from your analysis, and you can follow Corda’s recommendations or make your own selections. You review everything before you approve it.
